24in48 Readathon

Friends! July ☀️is normally the time of our summer #24in48 and you might’ve noticed it’s not happening this month. Have no fear though. We’re not going away! We’re in the process of assessing hosting capabilities and will keep you all updated as we decide on our next ‘thon! 📚

@NancyRHM @Salsa_Susy @readathon We still love hosting these but we had to figure out a model that works for all those factors. We did away with the bells and whistles already and it’s working better, so thanks for that feedback. We hate to think that our community thinks we’re phoning it in.

@NancyRHM @Salsa_Susy @readathon We put a pause because we wanted to 1) ensure they were inclusive, 2) sustainable for us as hosts, and 3) serving our community. In the midst of those determinations, there have been babies, int’l moves, job changes, a pandemic, racial injustice, etc.

@NancyRHM @Salsa_Susy @readathon You know when you tag us, we can see this, right? We’re not “over it” but our lives have gotten very busy in the last few years. #24in48 is a winter/summer event so we won’t do the next one until this summer. Exact dates haven’t been determined yet.
