@IGN I don't understand one thing, what should have Odysseus done then? Suitors are already abusing Xenia, should he have sat around waiting for suitors to attempt to kim him? The difference is in Troy's case Trojans didn't particularly do anything wrong except Helen eloped.

Saw The Odyssey again. Such a unique experience. It was like the delicious itch I go to scratch to find it's under the skin I can't reach, so the delicious itch becomes unbearable. It told me what I most wanted is what I can't have; and what I most can't have is what I already had and lost. It was the song of all the promises I failed to keep and it told me didn't really want to go home. It told me to never leave the theater (so I’m still here).

This new trend of hating “Interstellar” is so dumb. It’s a sign of moral rot and cynicism at the heart of our culture. It’s a story of sacrificial fatherly love for the sake of the next generation and the life of the world. Love itself is a real, transcendent force that reaches across time and preserves. It highlights the duty to fight for a future for one’s people, the necessity of competence, paternal sacrifice, and even ordered expansion to sustain civilization. Based AF and Christian to boot. It’s like so many of you don’t have two eyes and two ears attached to a heart.

@actionman_off Difficult. If Cameron makes a movie it's assumed that it makes 1.5 billion. That's why Cameron has become a commercial director. I don't want Nolan to be that. I want him to make money but mostly I want him to risk it with crazy ideas.

@W_B_Rick But the two hours of the odyssey is riddled with some of the best setpieces and moments ever. But Oppenheimer takes the cake. Music,screenplay and acting performances are phenomenal. Easily in the top 10 movies of the century.
