I am deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and injury caused by the military attack on the Holy Family Catholic Church in #Gaza. I assure the parish community of my spiritual closeness. I commend the souls of the deceased to the loving mercy of Almighty God, and pray for their families and the injured. I renew my call for an immediate ceasefire. Only dialogue and reconciliation can ensure enduring peace!

@JustinEGiboney Many Christians in America, whether elected officials or voters, have allowed their partisan politics to influence their religious views rather than allowing Christian values and beliefs to inform their political views.

It’s self-preservation, donors, and party first, then faith is used to project a certain image and endear voters.
Like all other politicians, Christian politicians don’t just represent other Christians. They represent all their constituents, but that doesn’t excuse them from caring for the poor and most vulnerable.

A lot of politicians say they’re Christians, but honestly, it’s hard to tell when it comes to their policy and behavior.
When their party decides to neglect poor people or trample on the sanctity of life, most Christians elected officials don’t stand in the way.

Let’s ask the blessings of wisdom and courage on our elected leaders that they ensure fundamental human rights, particularly among the most vulnerable, and seek ourselves to contribute to the well-being of society.
