Another aspect that some are forgetting is that Chris Columbus' original vision will only be praised even more with the release of this series. Right off the bat they're going for the grey filter with darker tones like the later films. The original two movies are the very foundation of the Wizarding World's aesthetic and this new series will likely feel like a cheap imitation. On top of course of the fact we don't need a reboot to begin with.

Some of the Harry Potter black Snape memes have been funny but the sheer amount of them hinging on black stereotypes aren't addressing the actual issue that, it seems to me, the race swaps will likely be used to introduce uncomfortable racially-driven motivation and contemporary social justice commentary to elements of the original plot that weren't there to begin with (Hermione being a "mudblood", Snape bullied by James), and only serve to further fuel those making or in support of these casting decisions to write all critique off as a racist backlash and double-down, but why address the actual problem when you can fan the flames for more outrage video content

@ChibiReviews Yep, a fairly interesting premise but at times got so melodramatic it kind of dragged down everything else. Kouko took some time to get used to, but I ended up liking her a lot. The ending felt rushed, but overall, I enjoyed it.
