This is a naive, and dangerous attitude. The Chinese made a similar move up here at the wolverine mine in the Yukon. They got access rights, subsidies, then came in to mine while mineral prices were high...all while racking up huge bills with 100's of local companies and contractors. Fuel providers, trucking companies, drivers, delivery services, machine shops, mechanics, electricians, food...you name it. When profits began to slim, they declared bankruptcy, and held a shareholder meeting with all the creditors. They offered a one time $5000 payout to everyone with an outstanding bill. Meanwhile, some contractors were owed in excess of $500,000 each. But because the majority of the debts owed were between 10-15K, the smaller contractors all voted yes to accept the deal because they figured something was better than nothing while waiting years for lawsuits. So the motion passed and folks got stiffed with 5k return on a 500,000+ debt. It was pre-rehearsed, done with deliberate intention and on top of it all they left millions in an environmental mess that still hasn't been cleaned up to this day. Hostile foreign nations do not operate with any intention other than stealing our resources, and on top of that a massive lithium mine is key for Alberta to establish a non-fiat currency once independent. So kindly sir, wake up.
