This is me. And none of that “just add 12 to the time” because it makes my brain big mad.

@lynna_listens Don't hit on women at their workplace (baristas, store clerks, servers, etc). It's their job to be polite to people, their livelihood depends on it, and they cannot always shut down unwanted advances.

Talking with my 18 yo son about being aware of how women around him might feel in various situations (i.e. if he's behind her on a sidewalk at night) and what he can do to be considerate. What other scenarios would be good for a young gentleman to consider?

I am so glad I went to state school, got a perfectly good education and avoided heaps of student debt. My career is in a great place. A++ would do it again.

@meatgirI I don't despise it exactly but I can't hear "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman without bursting into tears so I go ballistic the second I hear those chords at the start, find the source, and demand it be turned off.

this is a safe space so no arguing — what’s a song you despise to a comical degree? no holiday music or “anything by so-and-so” or “all music of this genre”, only real replies. mine is “bitter sweet symphony” by the verve bc i think the orchestral part is repetitive and tacky
