no place like home had me in tears through the entirety of the number. it is such a poignant criticism of ICE and the life of immigrants in america rn. the girl in the bubble was when i thought ariana’s oscar was secured, but it’s really thank goodness that earned it for her.

She loved it. Prefers Part One and felt the new songs were not that memorable but she was blown away by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. Multiple applauses from her throughout, tears at the end and a standing ovation. Feeling like a proud son.

While I understand the complaints about Wicked and Wicked: For Good being too long, I truly believe that when you watch them back to back, much like experiencing the Broadway musical, they become a magical and deeply rewarding journey. The more familiar you are with the source material, the easier it is to appreciate the remarkable feat that Jon M. Chu managed to pull off with these films. Seeing the sequel with a crowd tonight at the premiere only confirmed my prediction that this movie will be widely discussed in the weeks ahead. I genuinely feel bad for those who did not connect with it, because Wicked fever has only just begun, especially for general audiences. #WickedForGood
