Ohio state.. Michigan… the world’s greatest rivalry… and yet there is an underlying layer of respect. I always say that 2 things can be true at the same time: that I love my Alma mater and want the absolute best for them always, and that I can study Ohio state and give my honest, fair, and measured analysis of the buckeyes. Not to mention getting to know the players and the staff has only furthered my respect for them all. Another fun CFB season in the books- looking forward to what the future has in store!

9 months ago every agent criticized me and Teo for taking a 1-year deal. The truth is, the market was soft for everyone, and he was coming off a down year while playing in a very pitcher friendly environment. We were looking for a 3-year deal, and while reading the market and realizing that deal might not exist, I asked him what his priority was and he said he wanted to win and play deep into October, so we pivoted and focused on getting the best short term deal on the best team interested. Here we are 9 months later: Career high HR ✅ Career high wRC+ ✅ Career high rWAR ✅ All-Star ✅ Home Run Derby Champ ✅ Best regular season record in MLB ✅ NLCS appearance ✅ He will win his 3rd Silver Slugger, and will probably get some MVP votes. On top of that, he made more money this year than he would have made on that 3-year deal and now he will go back out on the market after a career year. Who’s laughing now?

Here is his monthly progress since we started walking (338 days in a row): Before #FrankWalks : 383 pounds Weigh in 1: 373 pounds Weigh in 2: 352 pounds Weigh in 3: 343 pounds Weigh in 4: 340 pounds Weigh in 5: 339 pounds Weigh in 6: 333.8 pounds Weigh in 7: 331 pounds Weigh in 8: 323.8 pounds Weigh in 9: 319.8 pounds Weigh in 10: 324 pounds Here are the results from weigh in 11: ◦330 pounds: Frank has lost 53 pounds since we started walking but gained 6 in August ◦Diet: Another difficult month, lapses in discpline continue to occur as old habits die hard. Frank, Mikey, and I continue to brain storm ways to break some of the worst habits like stress eating, late eating, soda, and eating fattening snacks ◦Blood sugar: Levels remain in the green zone for the longest stretch of Frank’s adult life, this will add years to his life Frank is extremely disappointed and hard on himself, but we need to keep vibes high.
 Weigh in 10 was Frank’s first increase in weight. This month, Frank continued to struggle with his diet and gained back 6 pounds. I hope you can see this isn’t a crash diet or short term project. We are in it for the long haul and can’t be deterred by setbacks. As more fat converts to muscle, plateau weigh ins are not always indicative of the progress made in a month. Frank is the most agile and strong I have ever seen him. But this month was objectively bad and we have to get back on track. Right now, Frank is in his Michael Jordan late 1980’s phase of his health journey. His diet is the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons. The final boss. Mikey and I will continue to push Frank just as hard as he pushes us. Thank you to everyone for the endless support. Let’s keep Frank positive.
