@lumaxingout literally all i asked was for you to define the words that you were using to create your argument. i was asking for clarity. how are we supposed to have genuine discussion if we can’t even agree on the words we’re using.
English

@2LTMY you give examples i reply with the medical fact given and laws and support for why it is there. you take what i say and wander into whataboutism there is a line between genuine discussion and purposeless discourse and you've crossed into it
English

@clair48729840 we already agreed it’s alive. & a person is defined as a human being. & you already agreed w me that a fetus is- a human being. there’s many ppl on earth who are still dependent on someone outside of the womb. Dependency doesn’t determine personhood. have a good day 🫶🏾

English

@clair48729840 bodies even after birth (breastfeeding, skin to skin contact, etc) so they’re still not their own individuals even outside the womb
English

@clair48729840 but that’s where your argument has holes. personhood & biology are 2 different categories. Just because it’s not its own individual doesn’t mean it’s ok to murder it since it’s “not a person” 😂. you see how silly that sounds? i would argue that babies still need their mothers—
English

@clair48729840 you confuse personhood with biology. you cannot tell me that it’s biologically not alive because it’s in the womb.
English

@clair48729840 @lumaxingout if you mean it’s no longer a developing fetus & is now a developing baby. then sure. i agree. but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t human when it was a fetus.
English

@2LTMY @lumaxingout It’s fully developed to the point where it can survive outside the womb. Of course it’s not fucking 90 years old or some shit. Come on, this is basic shit
English

@clair48729840 but it’s still developing. you need to define what you mean by developed because if you are growing you are still developing. words have meaning. basic shit but i have to clarify that “develop” means to grow. you can’t make up definitions in order to make your argument sound good
English

@clair48729840 a baby can survive outside the womb @ 22 wks. abortions can happen up to 24 wks. so my question to you is when do you believe life begins?
English

@lumaxingout all i’m asking is for u to be consistent 😂 if not consistent at least CONCISE
English

@lumaxingout we are talking about something scientific why is wrong for me to want a clear explanation & understanding? you’re the one not wanting to really dig deep into your train of thought.
English

@lumaxingout i’m just saying what you’re telling me! With discussions of this nature it’s imperative that we use precise terminology & definitions in order to form clear analysis. you have to define what you mean by “developed” you have to define what you mean by “person”
English

@2LTMY you know the 30 thing is not even remotely what i'm saying and you're reaching to a point that your back is breaking. development like a heart beat, a brain, nerves etc the things that make up a person which once again is why there's the 6 week rule
English

@clair48729840 @lumaxingout a baby isn’t fully developed outside of the womb. it’s a fucking baby.
English

@2LTMY @lumaxingout It’s not an actual heartbeat thi lol the heart hasn’t even formed at that point. And no, that’s not what people mean when they say “fully developed” they mean fully developed so they can survive outside the womb
English

@lumaxingout A baby in the womb is a living human. it is in the fetus stage of human development. doesn’t mean it’s not alive . when do you believe life begins?
English

@2LTMY but also yes killing a living human is murder, there's debates over assisted suicide however and generally people who are braindead are unplugged. however that is a person. a cluster of cells that has not yet developed is not a person.
