CAF’s published roster shows a multinational panel made up of members from Nigeria, Cabo Verde, Tunisia, Namibia, Mauritania, Djibouti, Togo, Malawi and DR Congo. The absence of a Moroccan member is only one part of the story. The applicable CAF texts further require legal bodies to act independently and impose conflict-of-interest recusal rules when a member’s own national association is concerned. Against that official record, allegations of direct Moroccan influence are harder to substantiate. 🔴 The Broader Lesson This situation exemplifies the importance of rules. If football authorities do not establish clear boundaries, they risk normalizing behaviors that jeopardize the integrity of the game on a global scale. As FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated, leaving the field in this manner is "unacceptable."
