Special shoutout to our highly talented PhD student @richard_stoeckl as well as @FelixGrunberger who are pushing sequencing and bioinformatic analysis at the Archaea Centre. And thank you Robert Reichelt, Laura Nissl and Reinhard Rachel for starting this project some years ago!

Working with my physicist colleagues at the @uni_regensburg is a privilege and a lot of fun. The @FGiessibl pushed their high-end qPlus sensor AFM technique to image archaeal S-layers ... here is the result 😍arxiv.org/abs/2307.07052 (just accepted in JPCB). @DanielaTarau
Check out our new paper @JMolBiol: "TFIIS Is Crucial During Early Transcript Elongation for Transcriptional Reprogramming in Response to Heat Stress"! authors.elsevier.com/c/1gH2A54HFNxgx
Many thanks to everyone involved, especially Simon and Klaus!

If you missed my poster presentation at #MAF2022 yesterday, i am happy if you join my talk at the #FRETmeeeting tomorrow!
I'll explain in detail how we equip a hughe native human protein complex with an organic dye for smFRET making use of the latest biological tools!
Big thanks to @ccp_em for a great (and exhausting) 4 day workshop on model building for #CryoEM data. Special recognition to Agnel-Praveen Joseph for organising it and the time and effort of all the developers who patiently and enthusiastically helped with our own densities.
A new chapter in the “all things archaea” story at the #ArchaeaCentre Regensburg: our long-term Archaeophile Winfried Hausner turned 60. Pyrococcus furiosus joined our celebrations and made a cake especially for him!! We truly love our #archaea 😊!
A warm welcome to the new members of the Grohmann Lab!! To my left: Andi (MSc student), Georg (PostDoc); to my right: Henri and Daniela (PhD students). Please note: in times of Corona, we strictly keep the recommended safety distance😉!!
Yesterday I graduated at Camerino University with maximum score! I have a beautiful thesis done in Ribosome Structural Biology lab @seanconnell in @CICbioGUNE, which was very appreciated!
Many thanks to everyone who supported me in these years!
