Cuando oigo a alguien hablar del griego como "lengua muerta" siento un profundo rechazo. Una lengua no deja de ser como un ser vivo en continuo movimiento, y lo que hoy entendemos por "griego antiguo" o "moderno" no son más que simples fotogramas de un incesante río de voces y de ecos. Desde Homero hasta ese panhelenismo irisado de Cavafis. Me siento profundamente en deuda con estos nombres, y honrado de haber compartido tramos inolvidables de mi vida traduciéndolos e intentándolos rehacer (con mayor o peor fortuna) en mi lengua materna.

My computer...the same one I use to write all of my stories is now giving me hives.

Not preaching - I don't know nothing about nothing, but it seems to me that human effort and industry isn't what brings the divine grace and peace of the Lord and that a particular focus on aesthetics and ritualistic artistic symbolism over, say, kindness of the heart and authentic encounters as the hands of Christ with those around us to encounter the graces of our Lord has led many down the path self-allusion that spirits masquerading as workers of the light but are actually tools of darkness feed on. I can't tell anyone else what to do, but I think performing acts of charity, loving your family, and prayer are more important than hyperfixating on high minding aesthetic ideas to summon an ideal metaphysical experience with the divine. Maybe if you live kind of a nice and simple life where you endeavor for love and charity, even if you miss the mark on it daily, you'll get those feelings even when you look at a Waffle House menu.

@solleticia02 Girl, I've had spiritual encounters with the Lord at Waffle House looking at a menu. Pray about it. Your loving Heavenly Father is everywhere and doesn't need such a particular aesthetic curation to speak to your heart. That's occultic talk meant for summoning demonic spirits.
