If Opay can allow this, it means anyone can buy goods or services from a shop, claim they didn’t receive value (even when they did), report the transaction, and get their money refunded.
This kind of policy makes Opay a very unreliable and useless banking platform for both merchants and customers.

I bought a crate of eggs for ₦6,200 from a woman three days ago. When I got home, I discovered almost 22 were already spoilt. The next morning, I went to complain and even met another customer there complaining about the same thing. I showed her the eggs and she got defensive immediately. “No be me dey lay them nah… wetin you want make I do now?” I told her this was the second time I was complaining about spoilt eggs from her. She started insulting me. I quietly dropped the eggs and left. As I was going, I opened my Opay app and reported the transaction. Guess who came looking for me this afternoon? The same woman. She came with a full crate of eggs, extra 6 pieces, apology and plenty begging. “Please tell Opay we have settled…” Suddenly, her customer service appeared from nowhere 😭 I told her to go to opay office in Lagos to sort her account out.
