Either Burry is getting desperate or he is gearing up for Big Short 2.0…
- He says “more details coming November 25th,” either its a book launch or he is putting out more around his bear thesis
- This is the first time in years he has publicly mentioned tickers, in this case $NVDA $ORCL and $META
- He obviously wants to bring more attention to his bear case on capex, which is more a bearish bet against AI in general…
So far, his $PLTR and $NVDA puts have not really gone his way which could be influencing why he’s getting vocal.
If he’s out of those puts and still putting out this public commentary, he may be making a broader bear case for AI in general.
I think the earnings growth we are seeing is hard to deny but Burry obviously is publicly discussing a bear thesis for the first time in years which is getting more people to pay attention, which could be exactly what he wants and potentially needs.
