Buy nothing day! In recent years, the Black Friday craze has spread to the UK. At Tools for Solidarity, we see that day as a Black day for the environment and Human rights! ⬛️ Let's fight consumerism today and turn the last Friday in November into a green day! ✅ #environement

A shipment about to happen means shipping boxes to build! 😃 That is a good occasion for our volunteers to learn basic woodwork skills. 🪚 Making boxes is always satisfying as we can easily see the result of a day of hard work! Look at their proud faces! #volunteers #handbuilt

Last weekend our volunteers, turned into little elves for the occasion, were selling tea at Tara’s Christmas Craft Fair. We raised 360 pounds which will be used to support our projects in Tanzania! We are sincerely grateful to Tara for her unwavering support! 🙏 #Support

We often thank on this social the Lions Club for their immeasurable help by collecting sewing machines. This is a wonderful support for us. Each new collection brings us good quality and in good condition sewing machines, which are crucial to run our projects oversea! #Solidarity

These 2 last weeks our new volunteers from the tools section received intensive training, run by John, on tools refurbishment! Solène, Christian and Mehdi are now experts to fix hammers, braces, vices, chisels, hedge scissors and planes! #volunteering

Last week we sent 2 boxes to Malawi in partnership with the Zomba Action Project (ZAP)! The boxes containing sewing machines, hand axes and saws are going to the Naminga'zi Mothers Group in Zomba and Luwatala Village. We are delighted to be able to support them! #Solidarity

Astrid left three months ago to renew her visa, and it is with great pleasure that we welcomed her back last week! She is glad to be back home and feels like she never left! We wish her to make the most of this second year among us! #charity #volunteer

We had so much fun at the @ClimateCraic festival last Saturday! We were there doing 3 recreational activities: - Building carpentry starting boxes for our shipment - An ESD quiz about climate actions - A knitting workshop to knit a scarf for our Giraffe #charity #festival

Meet our new volunteer: Christian whos part of the tools section. This suits him perfectly: his goal coming volunteering with Tools was to learn to use various tools and to make furniture. His first mission is to build carpenter starting tools boxes for the shipment. #volunteer
