@Soulslayer434 @CanadasLeafs Yup - not getting 8yrs team friendly deals like Montreal (their rebuild is at 4-5yrs) didn’t wipe any/all assets to “go for it/or a JT after 2yrs) Plus kept getting better- got D/got goalies We got core3 and-JT - didn’t do anything else-like get a Hughes, get/or draft a goalie

@timspicksonly @Paul_Saccone @tmlfaninvan What would I love is- 34 to commit long term/at least another 4yrs- pull a Dallas-take a step back/restock-rebuilt around Seguin/Benn (88/34) get Harley, Wyatt, Roope.. got to draft well(all late picks)- but it would take 3-4yrs..88-34 are only 31-32 Dallas is top5 team for years

@coreylandsberg @leonpaulhacker Exactly what MSL has - in Montreal- a teacher- and very patient coach -players coach- because you don’t win with 20-23yrs olds. then after 3yrs , 25+yrs and up - get the proven cup winner - Vegas got Bruce Cassidy, he was available then or Paul Maurice a few years ago (FL)

@Matthewsfan_ Can’t have JT play 2C that’s going to be an issue to find someone, but at this point it might just have to be anybody. They really need to rebuild, but we literally can’t until 2028 assuming we don’t give up those picks. We’re really teetering having to wait until 2030 here.

My preference is they focus on moving Rielly and Domi specifically, Hildeby or Woll - whoever returns the best return, you can easily fill some spots with Maccelli and Robertson. I could envision this roster as challenging for a Wild Card spot.
