2nd Bramhall Scouts

Our scouts recently tested their driving skills using our own scout group made, go karts, which we call Yogi Carts! Safe to say that some have some more practice to do before getting behind the wheel of a real car, in a few years! #scouts #gokart #bramhall

In addition to developing key skills, our PLs and APLs also had a lot of fun on their recent camp. For one of the nights, they slept under the stars, without tents, in a basha. To finish the camp, they had a massive nerf war and wide game! #scouts #camp #camping

We recently took our Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders on a camp to prepare them to lead their patrols on our upcoming Summer Camp. Key skills they need to have mastered include navigation, leadership, communication and open fire cooking! #scouts #camp #camping

Our Explorers made use of the most recent heatwave and built a mega slip ‘n slide. We believe that if you’re going to do something, do it big!

Our scouts recently took on a giant obstacle course, all throughout our scout hut. Speed and precision were key for this one! #scouts #obstaclecourse #race

Last week, young people from all of our sections took on a Sponsored Big Bounce Challenge. To raise money for repairs to our hut, we collectively bounced the equivalent distance from our scout hut to our Summer Camp location in the Lake District, on an inflatable obstacle course!

Our scouts recently tested their pioneering skills, making their own rafts to launch and sail (and then jump off)! Safe to say some rafts held up better than others! #scouts #raft #watersports

Our scouts recently took part in a Crystal Maze themed meeting. In patrols, they had to complete challenges based on the famous TV show, to earn Crystals. They even got to then try our very own version of the Crystal Dome at the end! #scouts #crystalmaze #nostalgia

A few weekends ago, we delivered plants and flowers to over 500 houses in the local area! A huge thank you to everyone who helped with deliveries, and to all those who bought our plants to support the scout group! #scouts #charity #bramhall

Our scouts recently took on the orienteering course in Bramhall Park, but to add an extra layer of difficulty, they did this in the pitch black dark! Good map reading skills were essential to be successful in this activity! #scouts #bramhall #orienteering

Our scouts recently played a game we love called Castles! Firstly, the scouts have to build impenetrable forts, and then they have to try and siege each others, with missiles. Strongest castle wins! #scouts #bramhall #castle

With it recently being Shrove Tuesday, our scouts have had a go at making pancakes! There were quite a few successful flips achieved by the scouts, our leaders were very impressed! #scouts #pancakeday #bramhall

Our cargo net is definitely one of our best pieces of equipment - it has so many uses! Here, our explorers showed how it can be used to make a climbing frame, and they also used it to play football tennis! #scouts #bramhall #climbing
