RE:UNION@R7_UNION

Hello, this is RE:UNION. Following our previous statements, we feel it is necessary to address the growing division we are witnessing. As BRII7E, this is not new to us. We have seen this pattern before, and it is deeply disheartening to watch it unfold again this time affecting another fandom. Division does not happen by accident; it is often fueled by misdirected anger, misinformation, and narratives that shift blame away from where it truly belongs. What we are seeing now is people missing the point. Instead of holding companies accountable for their actions, the blame is being redirected toward the members themselves and toward those who refuse to stay silent. This same cycle of deflection protects those in power while isolating the very people being harmed. We have seen what happens when idols are unable to speak, unable to rest, and unable to advocate for themselves without consequences. Years of overwork, lack of protection from stalkers and harassment, invasions of privacy, and relentless public pressure are endured in silence. These are not isolated incidents they are systemic issues that continue because there is no accountability. This mistreatment does not affect just one member. There have been ongoing concerns for years regarding NI-KI, including repeated exclusion from certain schedules and patterns of unfair treatment. These patterns cannot be ignored, especially when it's a company with history of xenophobia and racism. As a Japanese artist in an industry where the rest of his group is Korean, the treatment he has faced has been raising serious and valid concerns that should not be disregarded. At the same time, it is important to recognize that all members have faced mistreatment in different ways, and none of them are exempt from the consequences of this system. Heeseung has dedicated years of hard work and effort, only to be placed in a situation that raises serious concerns. The justification of “solo activities” does not erase the reality that alternatives exist. An artist should be able to take a hiatus, pursue individual projects, and return without being removed or sidelined. With proper scheduling the individual activities and the group activities can overlap. Proper scheduling, rest, and humane treatment are not privileges; they are the bare minimum. Instead, what we continue to see is an industry that treats artists as disposable assets rather than human beings. What is even more concerning is the way narratives are being manipulated. Those who are speaking up against mistreatment are being villainized, while harmful assumptions and long-standing hate are being used to justify targeting Heeseung and the rest of the members. This is not accountability, this is deflection. Showing support to a member going through an incredibly difficult time does not mean hatred toward the others, nor does it mean they have been forgotten. Fighting for better treatment for one member is fighting for better treatment for all seven. These issues are interconnected, and the goal has always been the protection and wellbeing of every member. To the OT7 ENGENE who feel lost in the middle: you are not wrong for questioning this situation. You are not wrong for prioritizing the members’ wellbeing over everything else. Supporting them should never mean enabling the systems that harm them. Continuing to financially support a company without question only reinforces the very structures that allow this mistreatment to persist ,not just for one group, but for countless others in the industry. This circle will not end unless people are willing to finally cut it. Idols are not fully protected as workers, and in many cases, they have little to no legal safeguards. That means they often have no safe way to speak up for themselves. When that happens, the responsibility falls on those who claim to support them to pay attention, to question and to act. Loving an artist should mean caring about their wellbeing, their safety and their dignity. Prioritizing charts, awards and recognition over their health is not support, it is complicity in a system that dehumanizes them. No amount of success can compensate for exhaustion, fear or the loss of autonomy. You are advocating for human rights. There is nothing shameful about that. Do not let shifting narratives or external pressure make you doubt what is clearly wrong and what's clearly right. Manipulation thrives on confusion, but the truth remains simple: mistreatment and abuse of power is never justified. Think critically. Stand firmly in your values. And when something is wrong, do not be afraid to speak up, even if that is the only action you can take. RE:UNION will continue to stand against exploitation, against abuse of power and against the normalization of harm within this industry. Until there is accountability and a positive change, we will not be silent. RE:UNION Team SEVEN VOICES, ONE STORY!
