Maybe I’m overreacting, but this season feels more painful to me so far than both 2024 and 2025. The past few years, I already knew they would be awful going in. I actually had some hope they would take a step forward this season. It’s really disappointing how bad they look.

There are 5 automatic outs in the White Sox lineup today and that’s probably being conservative. It’s honestly insulting to the fans that this is the product they are putting on the field.

Listen, i am with you guys. I think we would’ve won more games with Robert Jr defensively alone, it seems. He so clearly wanted out of here, he was never going to push himself like this for the White Sox. He knows he gets injured a lot, he’s not oblivious. He was never going to grind with the chance of getting worse and no one wanting him. Trading him made our team worse in the interim, but where does a guy from an old core who is waiting to be traded, fit in on a team of another super young core who are learning and grinding everything out. I loved Robert Jr., but we have to move on. He wasn’t going to work out long term on our roster, even if he could win us a few more games. (It’s a rebuild) We can debate the returns for him and such, but hard lining that we should never, ever trade him is a bit much
