@DavidAHoward Nonsense. It's based on the idea that CO2 put out by humans can be absorbed & cut so that the atmospheric amount is reduced, with the hope that it's cut to zero. Humans put out the most CO2 by using fossil fuels, which are building up in the atmosphere, not by just living!

Net zero is based on the idea that human beings living and breathing emit dangerous CO2 and must be stopped. Children are told in school to tell their parents off for their carbon footprints and society is divided into those emitting CO2 and those working to stop them.
When you consider CO2 is emitted for heating, lighting and eating it is the most misanthropic ideology in human history. It condemns people just for living.
