The Bears announced two free agent signings. LB Jack Sanborn returns after spending the 2025 season in Dallas. James Lynch becomes the third DT the Bears have signed since the start of free agency. Both are one-year deals.

Jack Sanborn signing tells me 1 of 2 things... 1. The Bears don't think TJ Edwards is going to be ready and aren't expecting much, and they expect Bush and Jackson to start with Sanborn as LB3. OR 2. The Bears signed Sanborn as their LB4 and have no faith in Ruben Hyppolite
