At around 10pm last night our officers spotted a cougar in the 3800 block of Rowland Ave, and a short time later a member of the public reported seeing it along the Lochside Trail between Darwin Ave & Saanich Rd. in Swan Lake Park. BC Conservation has been made aware and we are asking the public to use caution in the area of Swan Lake Park. If you encounter the cougar walk away slowly and call 911.
