Shred down to visible abs is an insane confidence boost. No one ever experienced anything less. Stand taller, have better posture. Ur skin clears up from clean food, from sweating. U never know how much u like urself until u take care of urself. Ultimately best impact of dieting.

@Polyhistor13 I got very early into powerlifting and hated arm training or any other "hypertrophy" related things. Until the pump becomes enjoyable. :P

Pinwheel curl with bicep blaster has become my favorite curl variation. One with absolute control, no real cheating possible. Just full squeeze and trying to exhaust fully. The other days with curls I mix it up and go bananas on momentum.

@Runix25 Preacher bench or using incline bench is also amazing. Bicep blaster adds extra dramatic effect though :D I tend to like pronated grip only on the preacher curl machine if it's a good one.

@345marcel Don't have a bicep blaster so I stick to preacher hammer curls. The neutral hand positions keep the bicep safe so I can push myself without worrying about injuries.

@JogaBonitt Did I say machines don’t work, or did I critique a certain general approach, with a certain mindset included (majoring the minors)?

Science based training is the worst to happen to fitness. Dudes are more focused on hitting the right angle, a squeeze in awkward positions. Literally wasting time on machines and isolation movements. Never seen a good fizeek come from it. Do it Arnold style and throw heavy weight around. Get 10x progress from it and focus on what matters more: just pushing ur body hard, harder every time.

@Seth_DBG Jeff Nippard was a powerlifter, Layne Norton too, the other guys take steroids lmao. Most common thing is people in fitness building their bodies with the basics and for pure marketing reasons going on about some "new crazy approach". Don’t get fooled.

@VGD099 Today people have even more shit in. Silver age bodybuilding was without roids and only difference was nobody being crazy enough to train twice per day.

@S12423234 The consistency is also better when it’s focused on really big needle movers, aka the basics of the basics. Much better to focus intensity on too. And with that u have much more visible progress, which is still without needles achievable.

@345marcel Even the science is very clear that the most important factors are consistency and intensity. Even if you're doing everything right, progress is measured in months and years, not days and weeks. There are no shortcuts that don't come with needles.

@TheCalicoChamp That’s the funniest thing when u speak with people deep in the bodybuilding trenches. They always say there’s a specific "density" that comes from heavy compound lifts. Real bro science has never been wrong.

@345marcel I don’t care what science says, there is an observable difference in physique between people who built their base with free weights versus machines

"I‘m doing bicep from every angle possible, I count my lifting cadence" < "I just pick a fun curl exercise and push as hard as I can, master this one exercise first" Heavy lifting looks cooler and always outperforms. Train the body in a unit like any other athlete does.
