@36Templar

Ensconced in decades of fear and despair we threw ourselves at every wall, smashing through and freeing the world from the shackles of incessant propaganda.

🚨BREAKING: Republicans just voted AGAINST my amendment to stop Trump's $1.8 billion slush fund from bailing out the convicted felons who assaulted cops on January 6th. You read that right. They blocked us from even debating the issue on the House floor. Beyond shameful.

When I was Muslim, I compared Muhammad’s last words to Jesus’ last words. Not just the facts, but the spirit behind them. And bro, the difference is staggering. It shook my devout Muslim faith. According to Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad’s final words included: “May Allah curse the Jews and the Christians. They made the graves of their prophets into places of worship.” Those are words associated with his final moments. No forgiveness. No reconciliation. No peace. Now compare that to Jesus. Beaten, betrayed, tortured, hanging on a cross with nails through His wrists, Jesus says: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And then: “It is finished.” One dies speaking curses. The other dies extending forgiveness. One ends by drawing lines and reinforcing division. The other tears the veil and reconciles heaven and earth. And whether people like it or not, final words reveal something deeply personal about the heart. That contrast shook me. Because one man’s final moments reinforced separation, while the other’s changed eternity through mercy, sacrifice, and love. Please sit with that honestly.

Activist: "The grain that goes to cattle could end world hunger." Farmer: "Which grain?" Activist: "The grain you feed your cows." Farmer: "Mine eat grass." Activist: "...all of them?" Farmer: "All of them. The field grows grass. The cow eats the grass. Through winter she gets a bit of brewer's mash and sugar beet pulp alongside the silage." Activist: "There it is." Farmer: "There what is. Brewer's mash is the spent barley from a brewery. The brewery has already taken the sugars out for the beer. Sugar beet pulp is what's left after the sugar is pressed out for your tea. The cow eats what's left after we've squeezed the calories out for ourselves." Activist: "But Ethiopia could eat it." Farmer: "Ethiopia would politely send it back. It's wet, mouldy, and ferments in the bag inside a week. She's the recycling bin. You're shipping the bin to a country that already has bins." Activist: "But the actual grain. Wheat. Barley." Farmer: "Goes to humans. The cow gets the husks and the pressings. The bit your jaw would file a complaint about." Activist: "There must be a way." Farmer: "There is. The cow turns the leftovers into beef. The bin has been full for a century. You just noticed."

30,000 BC: "Animal fat is the prize of the hunt! The marrow goes to the best of us!" 1300s BC: "Animal fat is the offering of kings! The gods demand it!" 500 BC: "Animal fat is the strength of the warrior! Eat it before battle!" 1200s: "Animal fat is the abbot's privilege! Lent for the rest of you!" 1500s: "Animal fat is for the lord's table! Peasants get the gruel!" 1800s: "Animal fat builds a working man! Dripping on every shift!" 1840s: "Animal fat keeps the frontiersman alive! Lean rabbit alone will kill him in a fortnight!" 1955: "Animal fat causes heart attacks!" 1977: "Animal fat is the villain! Eat margarine instead!" 1990s: "Animal fat has too many calories! A gram is nine, a gram of carbs is four!" 2010s: "Animal fat causes diabetes!" 2020s: "Animal fat causes Alzheimer's!" 2026: "Animal fat is everything wrong with the food system, the planet, and you personally!" You: noticing that every chart of chronic disease in the West starts climbing the year the guidelines told you to stop eating the fat, and that this is treated as a coincidence by the people who wrote the guidelines.

Activist: "Wool is cruel. The sheep should be left alone." Farmer: "Alone where?" Activist: "In a sanctuary." Farmer: "Doing what." Activist: "Just being a sheep." Farmer: "Sheep have been bred for ten thousand years to grow a fleece that doesn't stop. If I don't shear her, she overheats, gets fly strike, and dies in her own coat with maggots eating her from the skin down." Activist: "Then breed sheep that don't grow wool." Farmer: "We did. They're called mouflon. They live on cliffs in Sardinia and would last forty minutes on a Welsh hillside before something ate them." Activist: "I just don't think we should use animals for clothing." Farmer: "What's your jumper made of." Activist: "...recycled polyester." Farmer: "Plastic, then. Sheds microfibre into the washing machine every wash. The fibres go through the filter, into the river, into the fish, into you. When you're done with it, it sits in a landfill for four hundred years. My sheep's fleece composts in a hedge in eighteen months and grew back on her this spring." Activist: "But the sheep didn't consent." Farmer: "She was lying down with her eyes closed when I finished. She got up and went back to eating. I'd suggest you ask her how she feels, but she's busy, and I think she's already given her answer."
