It is with great sadness that the staff at 370 wish to inform you of the passing of our Officer Commanding, Flt Lt Paul Stringer, last week due to unknown reasons. Please see our Facebook page for our tributes.

370 Squadron Cadets finally handling that rifle they so eagerly learned about.

Some of our 370 Squadron Cadets are visiting Dinnington for a rifle training session. Listening very meticulously before they engage with the rifle.

Our cadets alongside 367 Sqn attended the Remembrance Parade in Chapeltown last Sunday as we come to remember lives lost through the Line of Duty in the Armed Forces. The Cadets did us incredibly proud and we are honoured once again to have taken part in the act of Remembrance.

370 Squadron recently visited the International Bomber Command Centre @IntBCC in Lincoln for a talk and explore of the facility to understand and remember the efforts of Bomber Command during WWII. Many thanks to the staff for the very informative talk and tour around!

Last week Cadets from 370 Squadron did a section visit to @NPAShq Fixed Wing at Doncaster Robin Hood Airport. Whilst there they got shown around the facilities and learn all about the role the NPAS serve. Many thanks to staff on base for the fantastic visit.

Unfortunately, due to the 'Tier 3' restrictions which are in place currently in Sheffield and the surrounding areas, we are postponing our return to face to face training. Virtual Parade Nights will continue as normal on Thursdays from 7:30 pm. Further detail has been emailed.

Friday 9th Oct is the #HelloYellow Mental Health Day in aid of @YoungMindsUK the UKs leading Mental Health Charity for young people. Join us tomorrow to show support for young people struggling with their mental health and help raise some awareness by wearing something yellow.

It was great to see our Cadets return last week to our Virtual Parade Nights after what was a rare summer break for our Squadron! They will continue for now, weekly, on Thursdays at 7:30 pm before we hopefully get set up soon for a safe return to face-to-face activity!

Promising news many may have seen, but us Squadron Staff have a lot of work ahead before we can consider re-opening safely and securely. An email has been sent out detailing this better, if not received this then please email us so we can forward it along.

Cadets are encouraged to wear uniform throughout the day. At 3pm, 3 cheers will take place for the veterans of the conflict to coincide with Churchill's speech. Any videos or pictures please send them in! Please be mindful of standards and safe wearing of uniform in.

Thank-you to CWO Dobson from 661 VGS as our Guest Speaker for our Virtual Parade last night! What a fantastic night learning about all the opportunities that Cadets get to do there!

Apologies for the short notice however we have had confirmation that all Air Cadet activity must cease. We will still be down tonight just in case but if possible please do not attend.

On the Thursday parade night we got out the radios. We played sink the battleships and hangman communicating only via our radios. Our cadets enjoyed playing the games whilst learning practical skills of communication.

More Cadets got to go on the Flight Deck Simulator of a 737-800NG Some great flights and landings, then some interesting' ones as well especially from our "Pro Pilot" pictured with the pilot cap. As always a massive thanks to @BritanniaFlight, the cadets really enjoyed it!
