Ward 38 UHL

The wait is over!! The the rooms are finished at the furniture has finally arrive for the day room and staff room 😍😍 I am so pleased for all that will enjoy these spaces. Many thanks to those who helped alone the way to get this done.

Finally!! For those who know the long road it has come to this you cannot imagine the joy when builders arrived on the ward today 🤩

Today we said goodbye to our lovely OT Charlotte who is moving onto her next adventure. You have been an assist to our MDT and we will all miss you. Your amazing 🤩 keep doing what you do!

When the ward sister loves Disney and then you find out some of the staff do too- we magic up Disney theme information board 🥰 thank you holly and Lauren for your hard work putting it together 😊

Today I am based at the Glenfield hospital. Over night we have had 2 new referrals, additional to this having reviewed the inpatients with diabetes list I have identified a further 7 people to review.

Brilliant ward time out day today, first half of the ward receiving an update with some external support from nutrition support team assessing the nurses in NGT insertion and diabetic specialist nurses sharing their valuable knowledge and supporting us in our future journey.

A very sad but happy day for ward 38 as we wish Lexa all the best in her new venture on ward 23. 🥰 have a fab first day x

Lovely to receive post from a discharged patient and her grandchildren making us medals.. one for nurses,doctors, domestics and housekeepers! We will display them on our ward 😊
