The claim here is that Peter was not a Jew. This is utterly false and only some strange and unbiblical ideology could produce such a distortion. The Bible not only says he was a Jew but focuses on this as a significant and important fact in relation to the gospel. ..."I said to Cephas [Peter] before them all, “If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?” - Gal 2:14 And he said to them, “You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean." - Acts 10:28 I mean, this isn't even debatable. Now, I suppose the rejoinder is to redefine "Jew" in a way the Bible does NOT use the term so as to play games with definitions. But that would be transparently about some unbiblical ulterior motive.
