When C-19 hit the UK in March 2020 a #makermovement called 3D Crowd started (with 8000 volunteers in the space of 4 weeks) and went on to produce over 385,000 pieces of PPE for hospitals. Today our volunteers work on projects for #crisiszones and bespoke #goodcauses.

Had to admit defeat with new type Eye Cu Smile V3 air seal these past few weeks. It's works but not reliable. Won't use or publish it. Back to the drawing board. Going to take the better drum, P3 filter & Cu nano mesh combo from V3 & merge it with air seal that worked on V2.

I think I might be the most remote member of 3DCrowdUK 😂 I'm test printing respirators and oxygen splitters to treat Covid patients. They are also working on a folding field printer and field kit. Very cool!

We are busy making a #portablerespirator and need a #quantitativefittester e.g. TSI: Portacount in order to complete our testing phase. We are keen to make contact with a UK based company that can provide one of these machines on short term loan. Any contacts gratefully received!
