Does anyone know why archived Google Classrooms would just disappear? #googleclassroom

#scienceofreading #sor If you had to pick a textbook for reading, spelling, & phonics, what would you choose and why? (3rd Grade, please) I want the resources you like the most that are really SOR aligned or as close as I can get. (Obviously, I’ll have to supplement.)

Favorite educational podcast? Not looking for the funny ones. Looking for quality PD to listen to in the car. I have so many that I enjoy! I particularly like ones on literacy, organization, scheduling, mindset, and off-the-wall creativity. I’ll start: The Stellar Teacher.

@GulshanK2 Fair and valid points. I look at it and think: Books are free. Libraries offer access to everyone, wealthy and otherwise. Books can take us anywhere regardless of who we are or what label society likes to slap on us.

@blodwyn22 Its good at one level in terms of the impact of education but it omits the power of wealthy parents to get their children the education to succeed and also the fact that the networks created by the wealthy are used to ensure their children get the best jobs and roles going!

If they wanted to stop gun violence they could. So do it already. Every decision-maker in this country should be forced to do an active shooter drill with children. Enough is enough.

@MissNikkiIn5th @ehanford So, she added some “phonics” into her program. She still isn’t grasping the Science of Reading. I’d like to see what “phonics” means to her.

@MissNikkiIn5th @ehanford Just be careful because this story has the 'fatal mutation' that the entire thing is about "whether we do phonics or not." The story uses the word "phonics" every time it should use SOR, and it does it at least a half dozen times. It's like we never left 1985.

@unprocast Don’t forget nice big choc chip cookies (Costco) so they can make ice-cream sandwiches.

@unprocast Vanilla, Choc, Strawberry, Cookie Dough, Rocky Road, Mint Choc Chip will be your basics. Then, add some different flavors / odd ones that the teens will get a kick out of. If you’re doing an ice-cream sundae party, you MUST go all out. Don’t forget Magic Shell & toppings.
