Mast cells act as a primary effector cell of certain inflammatory diseases, such as #urticaria. Targeting mast cells through selective inhibition of KIT represents a novel therapeutic approach and holds the potential to benefit patients with a range of inflammatory diseases.

KIT is a cell surface receptor that acts as the functional regulator of mast cells. Dysfunctional mast cell activity has been implicated in the pathophysiology of a broad range of inflammatory disorders. By inhibiting KIT, our goal is to inactivate and deplete mast cells.
