A serene evening of crafting and decorating biscuits for our girls this week..with the obligatory game of ladders thrown in!

Serving our community by litter picking and delivering leaflets this week 🙌! 🗑️🚮

When we make our Brownie Promise we pledge “to serve my community”. With this in mind, we had a thought provoking visit to the Pantry in Burgess Hill. Claire gave us a tour, with lots of mind blowing facts about food wastage and a proper shopping experience. @GGSussexCentral

We worked on our languages badge this week by learning all about Wales for St David’s Day! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🐉🐑🗻🏉🌼

What did Girl Guides do 100 years ago? Who were the Baden-Powells? Could we find their signatures in our hall? Why do we celebrate WTD? We loved receiving cards from other units around the UK and singing This Little Guiding Light by candlelight 🕯️💙💛. #worldthinkingday

Gosh we love an adventure! A winter sleepover at @BlacklandFarmOC with lots of brilliant activities. Memories made & lots of laughter. Friday night quote whilst getting the girls to sleep “But Eagle Owl, how I am supposed to sleep, I’m having far too much fun!!”. Exactly! 💙

We did activities circuit training this week, with each six moving between our leaders to do different UMAs, whilst working out what activities the girls would like to do next term.

We’re back! What better way to start our new term at the hall than having our wonderful Peer Educator, Amy, back to do the Think Resilient session with our girls. They loved it! What a brilliant role model to our girls and Young Leaders, thank you Amy! @Guiding_LaSER

We started back with a bang this week - an adventure in London with our friends from 1st & 11th Brownies! We had a brilliant tour & workshop with @UKParlEducation, hosted by @AlisonEBennett then got to see a live debate in the Commons, then on to @Girlguiding HQ. What a day! 👏

Hilarious night at @thehawthcrawley panto tonight with 1st BH Brownies and our girls…oh no it wasn’t…oh yes it was!! Totally forgot to take any photos of our gang but they loved it! 🎭🎶😂🎤

The Eras Tour made it to Burgess Hill 🪩💃🎶🎄!

End of term party with the girls - a full disco with party food, games, a Promise ceremony and a whole load of badges - the perfect last unit meeting of 2024 with our wonderful girls! We have a trip to the Panto plus carol singing before the big day so we’re not done yet!

It’s nearly CHRIIIISTMASSSS!!! A bit of crafting and our finished incredible unit patchwork quilt, which our girls are super proud of 🥰🎄👏.

This week was all about recycling ♻️! How to reuse, recycle, repurpose. We made a huge pile of recycling into various creations…a drum kit, advent calendar, samurai warrior, pen pot, bird feeder and crazy animal amongst others! What fantastic imaginations our girls have!!

The girls found out about similarities they have, learnt how to overcome barriers then did a bit more sewing for the unit patchwork quilt - all in a week’s Brownies meeting!
