But we do support it. We understand what a Twelver is. We understand they admitted to 60% enriched which is already enough for a dirty bomb, let alone well on their way to a full nuclear one. No civilian use for anything over 20% enriched or so. They did this to themselves. They would never follow M.A.D. like all other sane countries so this had to be done.

America is allowing Jair Bolsonaro to die. He’s a political prisoner. The Trump administration lifted tariffs on Brazil without demanding Bolsonaro’s release. Bolsonaro is a clear cut example of what Democrats wanted to do to Donald Trump. We cannot allow this.
Carlos Bolsonaro@CarlosBolsonaro

I took one AP wire story about the Iran war and found 6 manipulation techniques inside it. Not opinions. Named, documented techniques. This is how the news is built. Technique 1: Conclusion Laundering. The headline read "Trump Knocked Back on His Political Heels." That is not a fact. That is a verdict dressed up as a news observation. The manipulation started before you read a single word of the article.

If Biden or Kamala had won, and started a serious war with Iran, and asked Congress for $200 billion in the first 3 weeks, every single MAGA influencer would be calling them warmongers and demanding impeachment. Neocons would be happy, but the MAGA influencers would be enraged.
Cenk Uygur@cenkuygur

You should be absolutely furious about this $200 billion ask for the war. I guarantee you if you asked for $200 billion in health care or food for American people, you'd be laughed out of Congress. There's no money for that! But as soon as Israel asks, it'll fly through Congress.

Nope. Nothing less than regime change from those homicidal maniacs. Paraphrasing the headline "We can now safely kick this genocidal death cult's apocalyptic threats down the road for another decade or so...before we'll have to do all of this again and after they've murdered another few hundred thousand of their own citizens and people all over the world. Isn't that great?!?

@DanBurmawy Excellent example. Never thought about it like that, but it's absolutely a similar description for Islam. The One Ring cannot be lived with or tamed. It must be destroyed.

Islam in the West is the ring of power in The Lord of the Rings. Everyone thinks they can handle it. They think they can use it, moderate it, integrate it, tame it, or negotiate with it. The Ring serves only one master, and it is not the one wearing it. As long as the West thinks it can use Islam, Islam ends up using the West. Just like the Ring amplifies the worst impulses of the one who carries it, Islam reshapes whatever institution allows it inside: Human-rights language becomes a shield for illiberal politics. Free-speech norms become a platform for anti-free-speech doctrines. Religious liberty becomes legal cover for parallel legal systems. Democracy becomes a staircase to end democracy. This is the rule of the Ring: Whoever tries to wield it eventually becomes its servant. Even the well-intentioned fall. Especially the well-intentioned. The West keeps trying different strategies: "Support moderates, integrate communities, counter the extremists, not the ideology, dialogue will soften them, maybe they don’t really mean what they say, economic uplift will change their worldview, second and third generations will modernize." Every one of these is the Council of Elrond arguing that maybe someone, somewhere, might use the Ring differently. But Tolkien’s world and Islam world share the same truth: You can't reform an object built for domination. You can't tame an ideology constructed for supremacy. The Ring can't be debated, reasoned with, or negotiated into moderation. It was forged for one purpose, and it retains that purpose regardless of who wears it. Islam is the same. The only way to destroy the Ring is to take it back to the place where it was forged, the fires of Mount Doom, and burn it in its original source. The same is true for Islam: You can't defeat it with counterterrorism alone. You can't defeat it with border policy alone. You can't defeat it with intelligence operations alone. You can't defeat it through elections, speeches, or interfaith dinners. You must go to its Mordor, its theology, its texts, its jurisprudence, its political creed, its doctrinal foundations, and you must burn it there. Confront the doctrine of jihad. Expose the political blueprint. Discredit the historical narrative. Challenge the legal theory that divides humanity. Break the ideological architecture. Expose it's master. Only then does the Ring lose its power. Everything else is delay. The danger is not in extremism. The danger is in believing you can harness extremism for your benefit. Like the Ring, Islam corrupts even those who oppose it. It drags the center toward its worldview. It forces institutions to accommodate its demands. It shapes the political discourse through intimidation, guilt, or demographic leverage. The Ring does not want to be hidden. It wants to be worn. Islam does not want to coexist. It wants to rule. There is no path to victory that avoids the mountain. There is no shortcut around theology. There is no peace purchased through appeasement. There is no safety in pretending the ideology is harmless. There is no future if you refuse to confront the source of the problem. The West keeps walking in circles around Mount Doom, hoping for an easier route. But there isn’t one. If you want to destroy the Ring, you must go to Mordor. If you want to combat Islam, you must confront its theology. That is the fire in which the ideology was forged. And that is the only fire in which it can be destroyed.

The Archbishop of Canterbury has said that legalising DIY abortions up to the point of birth is “legally, morally, and practically complex”. It isn’t ‘complex’. It’s WRONG. Killing a 39 week old baby is morally indefensible. No Christian should find that hard to say.

@HistoryBoomer “Immigrant murdered this person” “Well, they were more likely to be murdered by a US-born citizen” “But they were murdered by an immigrant” “Well if we had more immigrants we’d have a lower murder rate” “But this person is still murdered by an immigrant” Do they not see it?

For the statistically illiterate. A million people in a state with 50 murders every year, your murder rate is 50 per million. Add a million immigrants who do 1 murder a year, total murders goes up to 51, but that's among TWO million people. Your rate is 25.5 per million. The number of murders goes up, but each person in the city is actually safer. More murders does not automatically mean more danger. Population size matters. If we kidnapped the entire population of Japan and brought them to America, our number of murders would go up (Japanese people commit about 250 murders a year), but we'd become a much safer country (the Japanese murder RATE is far lower). Oilfield Rando's argument (more murders automatically means more danger) is bad math.
Oilfield Rando@Oilfield_Rando

David’s argument is that bringing foreigners here (some of whom commit crimes) will make it less likely for American criminals to commit crimes. Foreigners can only supplement US crime. Not reduce it. David is a shameless, despicable ideological prostitute.

@HistoryBoomer No, your "math" is wrong. Adding 250 murders in a year, regardless of the total population, would inarguably make it less safe than the lower population with 250 less murders. Per capita isn't a factor in that (your) particular statement.

x.com/JamesOKeefeIII… 🚨 HOLY CRAP. James O’Keefe went undercover as a Homeless Man and has ON CAMERA the Homeless Population being paid CASH for Ballots - James O’Keefe’s team posed as homeless on LA’s Skid Row and recorded 28 separate instances of paid petitioners handing out cash ($2–$10 per signature), cigarettes, and marijuana in direct exchange for signing voter registration forms and election petitions — a clear state and federal felony. - Petition circulators openly admitted they are paid per signature and can earn $1,000+ in a single day; one bragged, “$7 a signature, $5 a signature, $10 a signature.” - Homeless individuals were repeatedly told to use fake addresses (“You can just put Pinocchio Lane” / “Oh, you can just fake an address”) and many had zero understanding of what they were signing. - Petitions included radical measures funded by Uber, Delta, United Airlines, and the American Hotel & Lodging Association — such as a 5% “one-time tax on billionaires for healthcare” and overturning LA’s $30 minimum wage for hotel/airline workers. - Taxpayer-funded Weingart Center (CEO previously earned $432,000) employees actively directed homeless residents to the bribe-paying petitioners and coached plausible deniability: “See they say ignorance is no excuse for the law. But a lot of times, I have to say ‘I didn’t know, I had no idea.’” - The activity violates 52 U.S. Code §10307 (federal) and California Election Code §18603 (state); identical crimes led to arrests on Skid Row in 2016 and felony charges in 2019 — yet LAPD officers on scene shrugged it off as “a civil lawsuit.” This is documented proof of widespread election fraud in California!
