@Caleb_Carson1 Boy I got two pairs of socks on, sweatpants, jeans over them, overalls, a shirt, a sweater over that, and a heavy jacket 😂 that’s been my layers the past few days 😂

@Caleb_Carson1 He also use to tell you “Did you take my chew out of the fridge?”

@ESPN fix your stupid app. Paid for a years subscription, and can’t watch anything I want too. Can’t use a dock connecter to hook up to my TV. Worst purchase ever. 👎👎

@JordanA10341 I really need to start again. Kinda pushed it to the back burner and focused on my stable career. Production cost aren’t cheap either 😂

@iii_sisk I think this is the closest we are gonna get to agreeing 😂
English

@iii_sisk And that’s my point. Other cultures wore it, not who made it popular. I said it was made popular by Rastafarian culture. However, if a white person wears it that doesn’t mean they are trying to be black. They could be paying homage to their ancestors who wore the same hairstyle.

There is some more history on dreads.
English

@iii_sisk You completely skipped over the entire “origins” section of the article where it shows that other cultures wore it. 🤦🏻

English

@iii_sisk Site me that in the DMs. I’d love to read that. I tried to lookup that quote and can’t find it. I don’t understand how you can lay claim to a natural occurance that has appeared throughout history in many different cultures. And some black cultures say they are for warriors only.
English

@iii_sisk There is a lot of history behind dreadlocks before Bob Marley. One culture does not own the heritage to them.
English

@iii_sisk Some people believe that dreads stand for something spiritual. I think the Rastafarian belief also is spiritual, but also symbolizes power. I think some monks thought of it like chakra. Vikings wore them to look scary I’d imagine. Different cultures will have different meanings.
English

@iii_sisk Indians had dreads, native Americans had dreads, Vikings had dreads, Greeks had dreads, Africans had dreads, Egyptians also had dreads. They were made popular because of the wide spread Rastafarian movement, but the history is much farther back than that.
English

@iii_sisk It was made very popular during the Rastafarian movement which in the span of history is very recent. But even monks wore dreads. Dreads have appeared in different cultures throughout history.
English

@iii_sisk Yeah you’re right. There has been no evidence found in Egypt. No reports from Romans saying that celts “wore their hair like snakes”. Or that hair naturally will dread. I agree that a lot of whites try to imitate black culture, but dreads are not a black thing. #historysucks
English

@iii_sisk Almost every culture wore dreads at some point. I know Vikings wore their hair in dreadlocks. I think the earliest evidence of dreads was found mummified in Egypt. Culture stealing? No. But that’s my opinion.
