Last night my wife and I had a conversation about money and we came to the conclusion that not much would change if we had a lot more money. Even if we made $10m+ a year. Sure, we would fly first class when we travel but our life would not change dramatically. We would struggle to spend high six figures or 7 figures a year. Being content with where we are feels like a massive blessing.

I’m convinced that a large % of programmers don’t actually like computers. As a side effect, are also perfectly happy to throw away their reasoning to a model as soon as they can. I don’t get it, at ALL. Don’t you *LIKE* understanding the magic of the machine? You do realize hand-programming (I hate that I even have to specify hand now) is fun…right?

The vast majority of Americans receive their information about the world from people who distill highest shock value articles into short form video content, it’s more or less impossible to understand where anyone’s beliefs come from or what they care about as a result

@rahul On Fintwit, my firm gets an earful from people who refuse to understand one element of our product, not that big of a deal in comparison to Flock, but still a headache. Not eminently fixable.

This is a perfect example of completely incoherent worldview. Gig work is simultaneously the great enemy of the proletariat and also important to keep exactly as is lest we take away the dignity of the gig worker. We should have no more of them and also no fewer of them
