Why wasn’t there a formal interview process for the HC position, @KentHaslam? Kennedy may still be the right choice, but many experienced FCS head coaches likely would have been interested if given the chance. We had the pick of the litter, interviews should have been done.

I said earlier this year that the Griz have 3 worthy guys to be named a finalist and that Gillman had the best shot of getting the most votes. I think a team should have 3 guys if they're all worthy. So I disagree with him not being on there. Every list has disagreements. I could pick apart every finalist list and every All-American team. For example, I think USD's coach should be on the Robinson list, or UT Martin's standout should be on the Buck list. Gillman is certainly a miss IMO. But if I made a list of the 30 best offensive players, I'm sure I would get ripped too for leaving someone off haha. So a long-winded answer just to say that no, I can't make sense of it
