Kudos to @kaufield for spelling it out. Women in all 🇨🇦 must be able to self-refer for mammography screening starting @40not50. Access should not depend on where a woman lives. Early detection matters: it determines the harshness of therapy required, and the chances of survival.

17% of breast cancers occur in the 40s, and they grow faster than on older women. 27% of life years lost are in women diagnosed in their 40s. To find them early: screening mammograms starting @40not50, and supplemental ultrasound or MRI for the 40% of women with #densebreasts.
