District 412A Lions Clubs

The Masvingo Lions came in as a partner & did a sight screening project on 18 January .The sight project was led by Dr Finn with his Germany team. 104 people were screened & 90 were given glasses. The people of Masvingo really appreciated the exercise & hope it’s done regularly

Last Friday lions club of KWEKWE had a belated Christmas lunch with the elderly at Rugare Old peoples home. It was indeed a memorable event for old buddies. They also handed over some grocery items to the home.

Lions Club of Molepolole visited Scottish Livingstone Hospital pediatric ward to donate peace posters (from various schools), this was after the hospital requested Lions to decorate the walls of the children’s ward. The patients got goodie bags. A guava tree was donated.

The Bulawayo City Leo Lion Club planted six avocado trees at Emthunzini wethu children's home.

The Hippo Lions in collaboration with the South Eastern College Alpha Leos hosted a Christmas party for the kids at Chiredzi Village Orphanage. The Leos donated clothes and Christmas goodies before leading the kids in an entertaining games session full of creativity and fun.

The Lions Club of Thamaga were Privileged to support and be part of the Volunteers who dedicate themselves to bringing a few moments of Happiness and joy in the daily lives of young in-patients at The Princess Marina Oncology and Haemotology Ward.. #aLittleActOfKindnessEveryDay

Lions Club of Selebi Phikwe Mokomoto twinned with Lions Club of Greater Gaborone and did diabetes awareness, bp check as well as eye screening at Mmadinare Hospital. Total screened for eyes were 135, of which 127 were given free readers , 14 hospital referrals and 4 were fine

Lions Club Phakalane and Thamaga had their Christmas social night . To add value to the occasion 26 disabled individuals from Mogoditshane were invited to join in the celebration . The clubs donated two wheelchairs .

Lions Club Of Phakalane conducted Diabetes testing at three Malls in Phakalane in Partnership with Thamaga Lions Club and Lancet Laboratories . 273 people were tested with 30 referrals.

The Lions Club of Gaborone joined the Diabetes Association of Botswana in Jwaneng in the Diabetes Awareness campaign. 140 persons were tested and consulted doctors at site. They were honoured at the event by the presence and participation of the Mayor of Jwaneng.
