Wow...JD Vance 2028?
This guy's messaging is flawless. Just listen. A reporter pressed him on how Americans should react to tariffs if they "raise prices" - Vance flips it back perfectly.
"What I say to the American people is, look: the president ran on this, and he said very clearly that we're done being the piggy bank of the entire world."
"For 40 years in the same way that our European friends, I think, have neglected international security, for 40 years a lot of our friends all over the world have used America as a piggy bank... have used us to absorb all of their excess economic production."
"What does that mean for Americans? For Americans, that's meant manufacturing jobs declining, that's meant middle class wages going down, that's meant whole towns that have been hollowed out."
"Empty factories - and that means an America that is less safe, because our manufacturing isn't as powerful now as it was 30 years ago."
"I've got all these brave Americans in front of me and a few behind me too. We've got to send, if God forbid, we have to send Americans to war, we want them to have weapons, the best weapons in the world that are manufactured in America and not in China."
"The way you do that is to rebuild the American manufacturing sector. The days of America being the piggy bank of the world... the days of closed factories, the days of people not being able to get a middle class job in this country, they're over."
"And yes, that means we're gonna have to fight back even against some of our friends and their unfair economic practices. But the long term consequence of this is gonna be higher wages, more manufacturing, and more economic security for the American people."
@JDVance - MASTERCLASS.
JD Vance, "We love the Canadian people but the Canadian leadership threatening retaliatory tariffs against the United States, they just don't have the cards"
"There is no way Canada can win a trade war with the United States"
JD Vance, "Denmark has not kept pace in devoting the resources necessary to keep this base, the troops and the people of Greenland safe from Russia and China"
"With all due respect to our Danish allies they have not kept pace"
"There's a lot of criticism from Denmark, against President Trump, against me, for saying Denmark has not done a good job at keeping Greenland safe"
"Recognising important security partnerships in the past does not mean that we can't have disagreement with allies in the present"
"Our message to Denmark is very simple, you have not done a good job by the people of Greenland, and you have underinvest in the security architecture"
"This is why President Trump's policy in Greenland is what it is"
"Our American troops show respect for the local Greenland population.. We respect the self determination of Greenland"
"Our argument is not with the people of Greenland, its with the people of Denmark"
@BulwarkOnline Desire is one thing. Blatantly ignoring the sovereignty of Greenland as part of Denmark is highly disrespectful and bullying residents into switching allegiance is wrong
Vance: “The president said we have to have Greenland, and I think we do have to be more serious about the security of Greenland. We cannot just ignore this place. We cannot just ignore the president’s desires.”
@peepsbspeakin@VP This is nothing to do with security, so stop lying relentlessly. It’s all about oil, minerals and other resources that the arctic is under scrutiny for
To all the people posting against the U.S. gaining an interest in Greenland…Russia and China are the other two options for Greenland. It’s a highly strategic area and Denmark cannot provide for its security. So if the U.S. is not successful, guess who’s next in line? Don’t be foolish. This is about securing the world.
Denmark's leadership has failed the people of Greenland, and their bullying tactics won't change that.
Investment in Greenland's security is in America's best interest, and it will continue under President Trump.
Red Bull’s talk of their “duty of care” is laughable. You either believe in the driver you’ve signed and give them support or you don’t. They’ve played fast and loose with driver careers for decades but this is a new low. 2 races is insane. Good luck Yuki. You’re gonna need it.
@BallCarrier_ He never even got a red so not a relevant example, although that should have been a straight red and no exception. Was a deliberate attempt to hurt an opponent
The 20 minute red card came under the spotlight this Six Nations 👀
Referring to Peato Mauvaka’s headbutt on Ben White, Jackman writing in the Irish independent added: “We are heading down a slippery slope if we put entertainment ahead of safety”
What do you think? Does rugby have its priorities right?
JD Vance: Denmark is not doing its job, and isn't being a good ally…if that means we need to take more territorial interest in Greenland that is what president trump is going to do. Because he doesn't care about what the Europeans scream at us…
Northville High School fired girl's basketball coach Jim Zullo for yanking a player's ponytail after a loss.
How would you respond if this happened to your daughter?
Trump on Canada: You have that artificial line because it is straight artificial and look like it was drawn by a ruler. I don't mean a ruler like a king but a ruler like a ruler this way. It is just an artificial line that was drawn in the sand. In the ice
@PrincessBravato US products will be competitive in the US with tariffs on goods coming from countries that have protective tariffs against us. The world wants to sell to our markets. We can sell to our own markets.
I can't even imagine the economy hit we're taking with people not wanting to fly to America. People not wanting to buy American products. I just feel something bad is coming.
