From the girl who almost didn't make it, to the woman who refused to quit.
Secondary school class of 2014. Four WAEC attempts. One NECO. Two JAMB sittings each over 200. Nights that felt endless. A pregnancy that changed everything, loosing a Child, I thought I could never be healed. Battles with depression so dark I tried to end it all more than once.
And yet. Here I stand.
B.A. Mass Communication Bagged
Second Class Upper. Gown on. Head high. Eyes full.
They never tell you that some people's journeys come with detours, dead ends, and seasons that feel like punishment. Nobody talks about the girl who had to start over again and again, while watching everyone else seemingly walk a straight line to their dreams.
But I need someone to hear this today:
Destiny delayed is NOT destiny denied.
To everyone, especially any single mother who has cried herself to sleep wondering if she made too many mistakes to deserve a good ending, your chapter isn't over. The baby on your hip is not a reason to stop; that child is your why to keep going.
To everyone who has sat in a dark place and considered not being here anymore — I see you, I was you, and I promise that joy comes in the morning.
You are not behind. You are not broken. You are not too far gone.
You are simply someone whose testimony needed more pages.
This one's for everyone who had to fight just to exist, we made it🥂🍾
