Marathon did not “kill” destiny. They are the unfortunate victim of corporate greed. C-suite lead this studio for a paycheck and let the ship with its crew sink. Both games could have existed helping each other if done right, just leadership did not care about the studio future.

@giancar73012035 finally someone put it into words. Yes the game had its issues but holy fuck was it still a great game. The potential was there yet ppl shat on it for some ego boost, grift, views etc. Fuck those ppl.

@42Chacon @JakeParkerLIVE The shift away from The Winnower to The Witness was one of the most unfortunate decisions made in Destiny's writing. I suspect they didn't like that The Winnower was starting to make sense, which is just good writing.

-We never solved the curse of the Dreaming City
-We never bound the Nine
-We never saw Old Chicago
-We never found Xivu f***ing Arath
That’s it. It just…ends. Cliffhangers and plot holes.
My time in Destiny has been nothing short of life-changing, but nah, I can’t sit well with that. I truly hope that when the June 9th update hits, the @DestinyTheGame @Bungie dev team sits down, either goes live or Vlogs/ViDocs, & gives us an honest retrospective of where we’re at, what they ‘want’ to happen, what they’re pursuing, and where we’re going so far - even if it’s half a decade away.
If we’re hitting closure, give us closure.

Bloomberg: Bungie planning significant layoffs following end of Destiny 2 development. Destiny 3 is not in active production. Bungie staff are pitching and prototyping new projects, including in the Destiny franchise, but none have been greenlit bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

"Yo you gonna move to warframe" look guys I LIKE Warframe in bursts, and the team seems really in touch with their community, but it aint the same as D1/D2. There's not a single thing in that game that feels as good as pulling the trigger on this thing once.

@MacticsG1 i’m sad and angry at the same time. i don’t want D2 to end. i get it the game needs to evolve but after 12 years this hurts man. my anger is this fear that this is it. i worry for the devs, the unknown, and the possibility of what sony will do to bungie.

@Kafkaesquire for what they were given it was good. it does feel like we got the highlight cut of a flim which just my guess was probably the intention for a theatrical release but they couldn’t get the green light
