I don't usually post this kind thing on X but we'll then... what a week. Last Sunday, I was found unconscious, in bed, with blood pouring from my mouth. I was rushed into Hairmyres Hospital and immediately into Intensive Care where it was discovered that both of my lungs were filled with blood - I had type 1 respiratory failure and still have pneumonia. I was immediately placed on a high oxygen mask and given a blood transfusion, as so much blood had been lost. Over the last 7 days or so, I've battled to slowly need less and less oxygen and to be released from hospital. It's hard, as I need to remember that my lungs are still recovering and every movement is causing me to be exhausted but hey... I'm alive. Thank you to Hairmyres Hospital and NHS Scotland for keeping me alive. ❤️
