Eu queria muito que os Red Wings fossem atrás de melhorar o elenco nessa trade deadline.
Mas se o preço de um Nic Roy tá tão alto assim, não sei se compensa... Ainda mais considerando que o principal atrativo que os Wings têm são prospectos de alto nível.

Gordie Howe was widely considered the best player on the planet between 1955-70, yet he went 16 years without winning a Cup, with 12 of them in a six-team league. Let's put in perspective what McDavid has done in his career. Gretzky is the only other player in history to score 97+ points in ten straight seasons, and ten of his 13 straight came in the 1980s when teams averaged 3.83 goals per game. During McDavid's streak, NHL teams have averaged 3.03 goals per game. In Gretzky's best season (215 points), he was in on 50.4 percent of Edmonton's goals. In McDavid's best season (153 points), he was in on 53.6 percent of his team's goals. He is one of only three players to ever score 40 points in an NHL playoff, and he was in on 48.8 percent of Edmonton's goals as he won the Conn Smythe in a losing effort. In Gretzky's best playoff year, he was in on 47.9 percent of EDM's goals. In Mario's best playoff year, he was in on 46.3 percent of Pittsburgh's goals. McDavid's offensive production, if it were pro-rated, is right there in Gretzky and Lemieux's realm. No other player comes close.

Both of USAs goals were scored by offensive gamebreakers, Canada's goal was scored by an offensive game gamebreaker.
Both the men's and women's teams are plagued by archaic thinking at the very top, and the decision makers should be ashamed of themselves.
