@SSD_PATCH He had arthritis in his elbow then got a cancerous growth on it. All checks done after operation and all clear 😁

@ChNWPoliceDogs Reminds me of my last GP PD Ike Who I had before retirement ( I think transferred to yourselves ) when someone wanted to play baseball they had the bat but no ball and wanted to use my head as the ball. That upset Ike a Tad. Worth their weight in gold 👊

It’s with a heavy heart to say that retired SS police dog Daisy passed away yesterday at home . She did it her own way by waiting until I was in France. She will be missed by all the Joneses and her previous handlers who allowed me to work her until our retirements

@BBCNews Just wondering if the viewing of this evidence could affect the court case if the officer is charged, Could it prejudice a trial. I fully understand and accept the families right to view the bobycam footage and their need for answers.

This popped up on on my time line from Six years ago. Then PD Poppy working trying to get some sort of closure for a family. She managed it numerous times in her career making that difference. I still miss the odd little dog. She certainly was a one-off

Update re Enzo…He had to be retired early due to operational issues, sad to see him go, but the right decision & he is now living his best life causing chaos with his new found buddy 🐶🐾

@SheilaGray57 They are placed in an area that allows the dogs to have visual stimulation so not shut in so can’t see anything going on. There are numerous reasons to kennel dogs particularly working dogs from allowing them to acclimatise to weather conditions they will be working in. Etc etc

@4405matt Why do some dog handlers still kerp their dogs in kennels?

@SheilaGray57 Handlers have their own reasons to kennel their dogs. But what ever their reasons to kennel the dogs or not the welfare is at the forefront. They are monitored by supervisors and colleagues. The kennels are large weather proofed and have a enclosed bed box.
