Rams traded 2 1st round picks and Jared Goff and won a Super Bowl with Stafford
Browns traded 3 1st round picks + and it hasn’t worked out with Watson
If teams that have seen great success and great failure agree on extending tradable assets to 5 years, I think it’s a proposal that has a great chance of going through!
More picks = more options for your favorite team!

The World Baseball Classic final had around 500,000 more viewers than the average NBA Finals game in 2025. For a preseason tournament held during spring training with big name stars on pitch limits. Yes, baseball is more popular than the NBA, and the gap is growing.

Utah OL Spencer Fano’s arms measured 32 7/8 just now at his pro day, up from 32 1/8 at the Combine. Another indication that, for whatever reason, the measurements in Indy were short for a number of prospects. That’s a big 3/4 inch difference for Fano.

Nothing creates more interest in the NFL than trades. This is why Cleveland’s proposal to allow teams to trade picks up to 5 years out as opposed to 3 years out makes so much sense. More picks to trade = more trades = more interest & team building options.

If it seems like there have been more trades than ever, there have been. Since the 2026 new league year started last week, there have been 18 trades, including Andy Dalton today. From the day the 2025 new league year started until the NFL Draft, there were 15 trades. One week of the league year this year already has produced three more trades than there were over weeks last year.

17 trades before March 17th means that Free Agency and Trade Season are happening simultaneously for 1st time.
Smart teams will manipulate the trade market if they get the opportunity to have “free looks” at trade candidates while simultaneously pursuing free agents

@TBIR_9 Not often because before this year we rarely saw pre-free agency trades.
I believe this is a loop hole teams will continue to explore until teams like the Raiders include “due diligence” clauses in trades to prevent teams from backing out because they got a better deal
