@fedginator I think mitsu in practice is fine - there's maybe some philosiphy quibbles I could make about the negate trap and that it's probably a little too easy to put an FTK into it, but I think it should be fine and basically fair even w/ more searchers, yeah.

Mitsu is not a problem right now are you kidding me? It's a inconsistent control deck that ends on Futsu and a Raigeki. It hasn't topped a YCS since January and hasn't won one since November. But please, tell more about how Habakiri is ruining the game and needs to be banned.

Ehining about Habakiri is really annoying at this point. Everyone shut up FFS. "Oh my god it's splashed in everything! It's still tier 1 after all this time!" It hasn't been splashed in anything besides Orcust in months and is maybe the 7th best deck, you fucking babies.

@atrocityTCG I think they just don't want people playing like, ryzeal mitsu? and I guess you can go through both sometimes, but that's probably not that important for anything.

i continue to make progress on my recent genesys petdeck: the Deck that's Impossible to Fuck Up (DIFU) almost every deck in YGO requires advance knowledge of setups and combos. this does not. it is the deck i hand to people who wanna try out the format from a knowledge base of 0

@fedginator I have to say shifter existing is a huge drag on how good tear is in no-banlist, especially with them printing more truly hypermodern decks that can play it.

This is the kinda thing I was talking about when I said that Tear is no longer a wild outlier in terms of card quality Obviously it'd be way stronger than the current top decks, but with all decks unlimited, it just isn't the outlier it used to be (It's a no banlist tourney)

@jd_pressman @tailcalled I will say, that I feel like a lot of the best communities now are just the less obvious ones and more sheltered away ones, over being lost, persay. The replacements shine differently because of what they need to shelter. But there is still a... drag in the air that burns.

@fedginator Curious what you would want in a 'fixed' version of lunalight w/ different payoffs? It's a little unforunate they sprinkled in just enough locks to make it hard to use them for a non-lunalight named payoff but didn't like actually lock it out of generic 4s and such

@MBTYuGiOh Almost immediately after runick released in master duel, there was a massive jump in the prevalance of stun on mid to high ladder. It tooks months of gradual hits to make it tolerable.

Hot take: As things are right now, in terms of power level, full power Tear is actually significantly overrated

@fedginator @SkarlonYGO Even after they banned the millers it was still like, okay rogue for a while, iirc? People still did ok in regionals and the like with it.

@fedginator @SkarlonYGO tear immediately following the banlist wasn't dead-dead? Remember it being an okay regional deck at the time, and then it was tier 1 again for a few months when they banned out kash. It was pretty well represented in the ocg for two years, being tier 0-1 for a good part of that.
