Welcome back Panthers! F-15E Strike Eagles and their aircrews from the 494th Fighter Squadron and personnel around the 48th Fighter Wing returned in waves from May 8-16, following a seven-month deployment to an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia.

Lt. Gen. John D. Lamontagne, U.S. Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa deputy commander, visited the 48th Fighter Wing, Feb. 23. During his visit, he toured the base, received mission briefs from units and recognized the Liberty Wing's outstanding performance.

10years ago, Jolly 22 went down on the Coast of Norfolk killing all 4 aboard. A ceremony was held in their Honor Sunday. @usairforce
