We were honored to host Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks last week, during which we were able to showcase our commitment to excellence! She toured infrastructure improvements, saw demonstrations of innovative U.S. capabilities and met with our Airmen and spouses.

Our people are our strength. Today I saw our servicemembers in action- from manning our F-35 squadron, to ensuring we can communicate during wartime, to providing novel medical care for our warfighters. @48fighterwing demonstrates why “Taking Care of our People” is so critical to ensuring US national security.

Lt. Gen. Robert Miller, USAF Surgeon General, visited the 48th MDG, Nov. 14. During his visit, he discussed prioritizing training, maximizing availability, and visited his UK counterpart to discuss global partnerships in international medicine. @USAFMedicine @HQUSAFEAFAF

Airmen stationed throughout the UK will see a change in overseas cost-of-living allowance beginning with their end of November paychecks. This is the first of two changes in OCOLA expected to impact RAF Lakenheath and RAF Feltwell Airmen as well as their families.

RAF Lakenheath will conduct an active shooter exercise TODAY. Active shooter exercises are routine training exercises designed to enhance readiness and safeguard base personnel and their families.
