Not having Darnold is the miss….and Love. Other than that, good on the list and once again will reiterate: Once you get past the top 7 or so, annually, the next 7-8 guys are for the most part interchangeable depending on their surroundings.

Have to do a CT scan today with and without IV dye with a full bladder then an hour or more later do a sonogram with a full bladder for a renal test that can last an hour. Hope I don’t have to go pee on these technicians lol have to drink 48 ounces of water right now. Peace✌️ 🦾

@Coach_Yac If Kawakami doesn’t understand the reason why the 49ers shouldn’t release, him than that’s surprising. They should not release because: 1. Triggers a cap hit 2. Gives competitors access to a player without reward 3. Can’t file a grievance for the bonus money

It finally happened. I’ve been alive long enough for Joe Montana to be considered a glorified game manager…Im not surprised. We all know that if Montana were in his prime today, he’d be called a system QB. Not athletic, small arm, propped up by weapons and coaching. 😆

I think it’s Center and Left Guard. These two positions are the single biggest issue on the team. They didn’t extend Jake Brendel and left guard is up in the air. Super Bowls were lost because of line blunders. Do the 49ers finally see what many have for years and that’s why they didn’t extend Brendel?

@State0Jefferson He’s obviously mentally unwell. I don’t like asserting that but there’s no other explanation for his actions. He wasn’t always this dumb. If he were, he wouldn’t have lasted four years in the league.

@HarryBerezin Agree. I think though that the prior years rollovers also are included, so they all roll over to the current year. I don’t know that for sure, but that would be my guess. 49ers definitely could use some though.

@49ersCrush Probably right. But I think we’ve already been budgeting for that and had a significant amount to rollover even before this stroke of good luck. So maybe not?

Brandon Aiyuk says he won't be applying for reinstatement. He then lists grievances vs 49ers that he declined to bring up in an appeal when there was opportunity to do so. Simply put: These are clearly actions of someone who doesn't want to play in the NFL again

I feel you!!! I came to the conclusion years ago that Grant is a nice person that helps a lot of content creators, but he is a contrarian for the money of it all, therefore I blocked him years ago. I don’t even see his posts. But I think I could hang with him no problem, he is just doing it for the money and the influence of his father.

@PFF This is such a big stat. So important to how good an NFL QB and the reason why I rank Purdy above many QBs that others rank above him. Calm under pressure. Accuracy. Good decision making. In my book, top 5.

@urtazablue It’s really strange to me that the national media can’t figure this out. They’re stuck on this idea that we’re holding out hope for a draft pick.

Why haven't the 49ers released Brandon Aiyuk? Because the cap math strongly favors keeping him on the reserve list. If Aiyuk is never reinstated, his dead cap stays spread through 2029 instead of accelerating. That's essentially a retirement scenario from the team's accounting perspective. Even a post-June 1 release would accelerate the remaining dead money over two years, while the current structure keeps the cap hits much more manageable.
