We don’t know who is making the draft picks. He seems elite in other areas, and most teams seem more lucky than good at the draft anyways. But I do think something needs to improve 🙏🏾

It’s pretty clear , if possible, we should primarily trade back acquire future picks and be even more aggressive trading for players. The guys we draft are considered reached anyways so should be able to get them at even lower spots, ideally and hypothetically

Here’s my biggest problem with this. Why is John Lynch the only one catching flack? Remember that the coaches get involved later on in the draft process for obvious reasons. Zoom out to when the 49ers were consistently winning. They took a RB 88th overall in ‘21. The next year they took another RB 93rd overall. Neither had NFL traits. But one rushed for 287 yards in a game and another ran for 331 yards, so they had to be good. Then in October ‘22 they realize neither can play and give up 4 picks for a do it all RB from Stanford. To me that’s the GM putting duct tape on a problem created by the head ball coach.

@Coach_Yac We just, as fans looking at consesus didn’t believe that - but Dane brugler, who is tapped in, said last week he was going top 64. I think for this draft the biggest issue honestly is the rb pick more then any other (where he was picked)

@Coach_Yac I don’t even think that’s the argument it’s fine - completely fine if they value stribling more for their team it’s just where they took him- he was essentially a first round pick. But if they have info that even 1 team would take him before their next pick then it’s justified.

“We get that De'Zhaun Stribling has the speed and the run-blocking toughness that the 49ers covet. Still, No. 33 seemed high, especially when the 49ers could have taken Indiana’s Omar Cooper Jr. after trading down the first time from No. 27 to No. 30. Cooper seemed like a great fit, but maybe the 49ers deemed Stribling had more upside, and he’ll be able to learn under Mike Evans, Ricky Pearsall and Christian Kirk this season. Stribling was popular at Ole Miss, but even sources there mention that he was prone to disappearing, as he had less than 35 yards receiving in six games.”

I get that Kroenke owns the Rams as well as the Avalanche, Nuggets and Rapids but this just seems so unnecessary when the Avalanche are playing the LA Kings in the playoffs. The Rams are continuing to grow their fan base in LA, why alienate LA sports fans?

Not as big but you can also look at really all the Clemson players - yes they make $ w NIL but purely for business you can say some should have came out early
Also speaks to value of younger players. (Would have been drafted higher if they came out earlier)
