Thanks to all those who took the time out of their busy schedules to attend our TransitForward townhall. I’d like to thank staff who provided a wealth of information and answered many questions asked of them. One thing is clear we will improve our services and offer more options!

We will do more to address our current transit challenges.. I am committed to getting this done. As a clarification to this piece on NBC6 we collected 500 million dollars in surtax money in one year; since the inception the figure is 3 billion dollars

It’s important as local elected officials that we lobby our federal government through our congressional delegation to bring resources back to our communities.. this is what we do as counties during tue National Association of Counties congressional conference in DC.

The effort of sending supplies to Jamaica for the victims of Hurricane Melissa continues…thank you to all who donated, our generous sponsors and volunteers.. we were able to send supplies by air cargo to be distributed to farmers on the island🙏🏾

Broward County has an awesome relationship with the Panther’s organization! Here with the owner Vinnie Viola, my son along with other stake holders as well as some of my Commission colleagues and members of our administration last evening celebrating the NHL Winter Classic!

As a County we are still collecting items for Hurricane Melissa victims…grateful that the Heavy Breathers Motorcycle club dropped off well needed supplies to our library in Miramar! Thank you for your kindness!

Let’s continue our efforts to help in the aftermath of Cat 5 Hurricane Melissa as it will take years to rebuild a more resilient Jamaica!
