A big congratulations to the #VirtualFarm team on our AAUT citation. More than 7 years of image collection at #DookieVR

@AmberB_C If you need something to help you sleep you can read more about its development here: utppublishing.com/doi/epdf/10.31… and a bit about its use in lockdowns here: melbourne-cshe.unimelb.edu.au/events/past-ev…
Just back from doing another 55,000 steps around the Dookie farm for the first update of 2026.

A few hundred images from last week's #DookieVR to process. Each one made up of 75 individual images stitched together. Shows the dry conditions really well.

@stationmum101 @gomichild Seems wise given I drive here regularly! We do have some novel driving rules. 🪝↪️
English

@gomichild You’re very brave. I don’t think I’d ever consider driving in Melbourne.
English

@AmberB_C Currently used in agriculture and veterinary science teaching, helping to bridge knowledge gap between rural and urban students.
English

@AmberB_C Data including rainfall and temperature to help tell the story of good and poor years. Also glossary module to help explain farming terms. Works on a range of devices from VR to phone to standard screen. Backbone for a range of potential teaching resources

One of the challenges of #360photographs. You mostly end up being in the photo unless there is a convenient hiding spot! View from #MtMajor near #Dookie early last Friday morning. Tripod wasn't quite level. This view straight out of camera.

@Agrivetbusiness Ideally room for both.should take a few cars off city roads. Agree rural roads need a lot of work. $ need to get spent in cities and regions, not stop at edge of Melbourne
English

@4DVirtualFarm Very swish…
Just wish they’d make our roads safe too….
English

@Agrivetbusiness Relatively warm this afternoon but skies were threatening. Definitely unseasonably cold November
English

@4DVirtualFarm Try western VIC - at least Melbourne is mild - been freezing out here…
English

@samanthawan @stationmum101 Should be able to do the same in Google maps - enter your start and finish places and then add stops (it will add these in if not directly en route). I haven't worked out if it is possible to add in the total stop time into calculations but can just add that onto travel time.
English

@stationmum101 Thanks! Will have a play with apple, I'm usually a google'er
